Shelby Soberalski was an AmeriCorps VISTA member who was a HUGE help when the Lakeshore Food Club first opened its doors. Not only does the Food Club thank Shelby for all she has done, they appreciate her taking the Lake Jump plunge on their behalf. Here’s why she is making a splash in this year’s Lake Jump:

“OnApril 21st, Ill be jumping for a cause in the 19th AnnualThe Ludington Lake Jump! When I was Miss Ludington Area I jumped in the Polar Plunge and as a former swimmer, I can attest: cold water is great for you!I am passionate about food access and supporting theLakeshore Food Clubin their mission of Love-Feed-Connect. As a community, we are strongest as a whole, meaning that we can all work together to make sure everyone has access to great food. You never know who you could be helping: your neighbor, childs classmate, friend, family member and more! Have you heard of the Food Club? Its an amazing resource to our community as a place to receive food of your choice and a place to volunteer. Every donation matters and one (or many) drops in the bucket will create ripples. So please join me in making a splash in this years Lake Jump!”
