The Ludington Splash Pad is thankful to have been chosen as the beneficiary for the 20th annual Ludington Lake Jump, which happened last Saturday, April 13th. We had 37 businesses sponsor the event! Hardman Construction stepped up and matched what their employees raised for the lake jump, up to $10,000. Also, West Shore Bank matched what their employee, Christine Lamb, raised for the jump, up to $2000. There were about 50 jumpers who braved the wind and waves to participate in the jump. It was about 37 degrees and very windy, but that didn’t stop them. To help our jumpers and spectators stay a little bit warmer, WalMart of Ludington provided hot chocolate, Biggby provided coffee, and Wesco provided coffee and donut holes.

Thank you to the Ludington Coast Guard and Hamlin Township Fire Department for entering the water before the jumpers to make sure that everyone stayed safe!

The total amount of money raised was $35,181! Because of the MEDC matching grant for the splash pad, that number will be doubled for a grand total of $70,362! Thank you to the Ludington Lake Jump Board and the community for such wonderful support of the splash pad project!
