On April 21stthe 19thannual Ludington Lake Jump will be held benefiting the Lakeshore Food Club. The Food Club opened on October 1st, 2017 and the response has been overwhelming. The Food Club has served over 1,000 Mason County Families! It is an organization that is truly worthy of our community support. Which is why John Wilson, the founder of Pennies from Heaven, is returning early from Tucson, AZ to come jump in the lake as a part of the Western Land Services Team! Pennies From Heaven Foundation is providing a 100% match to this years Lake Jump donations! We see the value in the Food Club, where each and every dollar can truly make an impact. Through the collective buying power, a donation of $150 dollars can feed a family of 4 for a month! And that is with more than rice and beans, but healthy, fresh foods, dairy and meat options. Pennies from Heaven is celebrating the 5 year anniversary of the Lakeshore Employer Resource Network, the foundations first big initiative in the community. Since then we have been proud partners in additional programs that have been developed, such as Mason County Family Link, G2S Academy, Lakeshore Resource Network, Lakeshore Food Club, Local College Access Network, The Mason County Promise, Growth Alliance Summer Jobs Program, all to help make our local population successful in life. This is a community that truly supports its citizens! The Lakeshore Food Club is quickly becoming the backbone of that support.
