19TH ANNUAL LUDINGTON LAKE JUMP FEEDS FAMILIES IN MASON COUNTY

LUDINGTON, Michigan, April 24, 2018 Despite the frigid 37-degree water temperatures nearly 100 brave jumpers plunged into Lake Michigan for the 19th Annual Ludington Lake Jump which took place at Stearns Park Beach on April 21st. This year, along with record crowds, the event raised $85,390 for the Lakeshore Food Club, which opened its doors in October of 2017.

Participants of all ages arrived in costumes, swimsuits, snow pants, team shirts and more, ready to jump into Lake Michigan for a great cause. WMOM 102.7 FM was broadcasting live from the shoreline, Red Rooster Coffee was offering complimentary coffee in the registration tent and LakeFX Media generously donated their time capturing the event on video.

The show of support from the community is overwhelming. Generous support from corporate sponsors, jumpers, and those who contributed pledges will help us keep up with the high demand of serving families in Mason County – Sarah McMahon, Director of the Lakeshore Food Club.
